How to connect Cursor to your XM account

Works in Cursor (Agent).
- In Cursor go to Settings → Tools & MCP → «Add new MCP server».
- Or paste the configuration below into ~/.cursor/mcp.json.
- Click «Login» / «Connect» next to traderwai and sign in with Google.
- Use the chat in Agent mode and ask for what you need.
2. Connect your XM account
In TraderWAI, add your XM account with the platform it uses:

3. Ask Cursor
Try one of these in a new chat:
- «Show me the gold H1 chart and tell me where the key levels are.»

XM with your AI, step by step
XM accounts connect to TraderWAI as MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 accounts; the XM App itself is not connected. Your AI then reads your XM account and live charts through TraderWAI's MCP server and prepares orders you approve.
- Add https://mcp.traderwai.com to your AI as a custom connector (MCP server).
- Find the login, password and server of your XM MT4 or MT5 account. The server depends on the XM entity and server your account was opened on: copy it from MetaTrader.
- In TraderWAI go to Settings → Broker accounts → Add account → MetaTrader and enter them. The first connection takes 1–3 minutes.
- MetaTrader accounts are included in the Trader plan; charts and analysis are free on every plan.

Every order carries a stop loss, is checked against your risk limits and waits for your approval unless you turn on auto-execution for that symbol.
XM and TraderWAI: what to know
- XM offers MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, plus the XM App. You connect your XM MT4 or MT5 account to TraderWAI; the XM App is not connected directly.
- XM has demo accounts on MT4 and MT5, so you can test your AI on a demo first.
- Enter the server exactly as it appears in MetaTrader for that account: it depends on the XM entity and server your account was opened on.

Yes, as separate accounts. The Trader plan includes one MetaTrader account and Max includes three.
Can I use the investor password?
No. The investor password is read-only and cannot place orders; use the account's main trading password.
Can I connect ChatGPT to my XM account?
Yes. Add TraderWAI to ChatGPT (any plan, including Free) and connect your XM MT4 or MT5 account with its login, password and server. MetaTrader accounts are included from the Trader plan; charts and analysis are free.
