TraderWAI FAQ: connect Claude, ChatGPT or Grok to your broker
TraderWAI is an MCP connector that lets the AI you already use read live charts, backtest strategies and place the orders you approve on your own trading account.
What is TraderWAI?
TraderWAI connects the AI you already use (Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or any MCP client) to your trading account. Your AI reads live charts and market data, backtests strategies and proposes orders with entry, stop loss and take profit, which you approve before they reach your broker. TraderWAI is not an AI model: it is the bridge between your AI and your broker.
Is TraderWAI a broker?
No. TraderWAI is software made by FLEXIN AGILE LTD (UK). It does not hold your money, offer financial products or give investment advice. You connect an account you already have with your own broker or prop firm.
Which AI assistants work with TraderWAI?
Claude (including the free plan, on web, desktop and mobile), ChatGPT (paid plans with Developer mode), Grok (custom connectors), Gemini CLI, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code with GitHub Copilot, LM Studio and any other MCP client. You add the URL https://mcp.traderwai.com and sign in with Google; no API key is needed.
Which trading platforms and brokers are supported?
MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, cTrader, TradeLocker, Match-Trader, DXtrade (beta), Binance (spot) and Bybit (USDT perpetuals), on demo and live accounts. It works with any broker or prop firm that uses these platforms.
Can I connect Claude to MetaTrader 5?
Yes. In Claude go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, enter https://mcp.traderwai.com and sign in with Google. Then add your MetaTrader account (login, password and server) in TraderWAI. MetaTrader is included in the Trader and Max plans.
Can I use Grok or ChatGPT to trade?
Yes. In Grok, open grok.com/connectors → New Connector → Custom and enter https://mcp.traderwai.com. In ChatGPT, enable Developer mode (Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced) and create a connector with the same URL and OAuth authentication.
Does the AI place orders on its own?
Only if you want it to. By default every order needs your approval. You can also set conditional orders that TraderWAI watches every minute, or allow automatic execution for specific symbols, always within the risk limits you set (maximum daily loss and drawdown, risk per trade, maximum size, trades per day).
Is TraderWAI free?
Yes, there is a free plan with unlimited charts and live market data, 2 broker accounts and 5 order executions per day (MetaTrader not included). Trader costs $29/month or $199/year and adds MetaTrader, unlimited executions, conditional orders and auto-execution. Max costs $79/month or $549/year.
Are my broker credentials safe?
They are encrypted (AES-256) and the encryption key is kept on a separate server. They are only used to act on your account as you instruct. For exchanges like Binance and Bybit, TraderWAI only needs trading permissions, never withdrawals.
Can my AI backtest a trading strategy?
Yes. Your AI can backtest strategies on historical 1-minute data: session highs and lows, previous-day levels, liquidity sweeps, range breakouts, moving average, RSI and ATR filters, and stops and targets by pips, levels or R multiples.
