tastytrade is a US broker (tastytrade, Inc., a registered broker-dealer, member of FINRA, NFA and SIPC). From today TraderWAI connects to tastytrade accounts in beta, for US futures, on every plan, including Free.
It works with Claude, ChatGPT and any other AI that supports MCP. TraderWAI is an independent technology tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by tastytrade.
What your AI can do on tastytrade
- Trade the main US futures, micro contracts by default: Nasdaq 100 → MNQ (symbol NAS100_FUT), S&P 500 → MES (SPX500_FUT), Dow → MYM (US30_FUT), WTI crude → MCL (WTICO_FUT) and gold → MGC (XAU_FUT). Brent uses BZ (BCO_FUT).
- Place orders with protection: market, limit or stop orders with their stop loss and take profit, which are attached once the entry fills.
- Test before trading: backtest your rules on 1-minute futures data before risking anything, and leave conditional orders that act when your conditions are met.
- Respect your limits: your risk limits (daily loss, maximum position size) are checked before every order, whichever AI sends it.
How to connect it
- Add the TraderWAI connector to Claude or ChatGPT (step-by-step: Claude + tastytrade · ChatGPT + tastytrade).
- In the TraderWAI dashboard, go to Settings → Broker accounts → tastytrade and click «Connect tastytrade».
- Sign in on tastytrade and approve TraderWAI (read and trade).
TraderWAI connects through tastytrade's official authorization (OAuth): there is no API key and TraderWAI never sees your tastytrade password. You can remove the access in your tastytrade account at any time.
Good to know
- Futures only: no stocks or options through TraderWAI for now.
- Live accounts: the connection works with live tastytrade accounts.
- Whole contracts: the quantity is always a whole number of contracts.
- Closed-trade history is not available yet during the beta.

- «If gold closes a 15-minute candle above yesterday's high, buy 1 MGC with the stop below that candle.»
