How to connect Perplexity to Match-Trader

With TraderWAI, Perplexity can read live charts, check your Match-Trader account and prepare orders with stop loss and take profit that you approve. It takes about 2 minutes and you don't need to install anything on your computer.

Match-Trader: Multi-asset web platform used by many brokers and prop firms.

Step 1: add TraderWAI to Perplexity

Requires Perplexity Pro, Max or Enterprise. Use the website or the desktop app (the mobile apps may not show custom connectors yet).

Open Perplexity on the web and go to Settings → Connectors (perplexity.ai/account/connectors).
Click «+ Custom connector» and choose «Remote».
Name: TraderWAI. MCP server URL: https://mcp.traderwai.com. Authentication: OAuth.
Add it and sign in with Google to authorize access (if you don't have a TraderWAI account yet, it is created at this step).
In a new thread, turn on TraderWAI in the sources/connectors menu and ask, e.g. «Show me the EUR/USD H1 chart».

Step 2: connect your Match-Trader account

In TraderWAI go to Settings → Broker accounts → Add account and choose Match-Trader.

Enter your Match-Trader email and password and the address of your broker's Match-Trader platform.

Match-Trader works on the free plan: unlimited charts and analysis, and 5 order executions per day.

Step 3: ask Perplexity

Open a new chat and try, for example:

«Show me the gold H1 chart and tell me where the key levels are.»
«What positions do I have open and how much am I risking?»
«Prepare a buy limit on EUR/USD at yesterday's low with a 20-pip stop and a 2R target. I'll approve it.»

Does Perplexity place orders on its own?

Only if you want it to. By default every order needs your approval. You can also allow automatic execution for specific symbols, always within the risk limits you set.

Is my Match-Trader account safe?

Your credentials are encrypted (AES-256) and the key is kept on a separate server. TraderWAI only acts on your account as you instruct and never requests withdrawal permissions.
