Perplexity opened custom connectors (remote MCP servers) on its Pro, Max and Enterprise plans. That means you can now add TraderWAI to Perplexity and use it with your trading account, in beta.
What Perplexity can do with TraderWAI
- Read live charts in any timeframe, with indicators, and draw its analysis on the chart.
- Backtest a strategy idea on historical data before you risk anything.
- Check your account: balance, open positions and pending orders on MetaTrader, cTrader, TradeLocker, Match-Trader, DXtrade, Capital.com, Binance or Bybit.
- Prepare orders with stop loss and take profit that you approve, within your risk limits.
Perplexity is especially good at combining news and research with data, so you can ask it to check what is moving a market and then look at the chart with TraderWAI.
How to connect it
- Open Perplexity on the web or the desktop app and go to Settings → Connectors.
- Click «+ Custom connector» and choose «Remote».
- Name: TraderWAI. MCP server URL: https://mcp.traderwai.com. Authentication: OAuth.
- Add it and sign in with Google to authorize access. If you don't have a TraderWAI account yet, it is created at this step.
- In a new thread, turn on TraderWAI in the sources/connectors menu and ask.
The mobile apps may not show custom connectors yet: set it up on the web first.
Why beta
Perplexity's custom connectors are new and we have not had many users on them yet. If something does not work, tell us and we will fix it. If you are on Perplexity's free plan, you can use TraderWAI for free with Claude, which supports connectors on its free plan.
